Bou Bosso

Fishing

Born and raised in Jupiter, Florida, Bou visited Islamorada for the first time when he was six months old. The short trip south was a family summer tradition that stands to this day. Over the years, these trips to Islamorada created an immense passion for flats fishing and Bou started casting a fly rod when he was eight years old. At the age of eighteen, he obtained his captains license and began guiding during the summer months out of Papa Joe’s Marina. In 2007, Bou graduated from the University of North Florida with a Hospital Administration degree and immediately moved to Islamorada to follow his passion. Soon thereafter, he began guiding flats-fishing charters full time out of La Siesta Marina. In 2009, he entered law school at Florida International University while continuing to work as a flats guide full time. Bou graduated from FIU Law School in December of 2012 and passed the Florida Bar Exam in February 2013 to become a Florida Licensed Attorney. Bou has been awarded the Guide to Grand Champion Award two times in the Islamorada Fall Fly Bonefish Tournament, Guide to First Runner Up Award in the Outback Golden-Fly Tarpon Tournament, and Guide to Second Place in the Keys Spring Invitational Fly Bonefish Tournament.
