Sage Cattabriga-Alosa

Freeskiing

Freeskier Sage Cattabriga-Alosa grew up in the small town of Alta, Wyoming, riding the resorts of Grand Targhee and Jackson Hole. It makes sense that the local boy fell in with the local film crew, which just happens to be TGR. And it has been with TGR that Sage has been able to share his talent for putting together jaw-dropping segments for the past 15 years, starting with the 2001 release of Subject To Change through this season’s 2016 release of Tight Loose. Sage’s early segments helped shape the sport of freeskiing and push progression in the park, while his more recent parts have showed his skill at bringing the park into the backcountry, specifically the sheer spine lines of Alaska. His skiing prowess has been acknowledged with three Best Performance awards at the annual Powder Awards.

His positive, free-spirited nature is communicated through his film parts, which, in addition to sheer skiing talent, have garnered him a huge fan base—see his first place award in the fan-voted 2015 Powder Poll. After close to a decade based at Alta, Utah, Sage currently is based out of Portland, Oregon. When he’s not filming with TGR, he also competes in the annual Red Bull Linecatcher backcountry freestyle contest, and in his free time expresses himself through art and graphic design.
