Why do you like Smith Optics?: I love Smith Optics because they make the best eyewear and helmets on the market. Their lens technology is top of the line. Even on the deepest days my gogs never fog up and you can change the lenses in less then 20 seconds. Their helmets are the only thing I want on my head. They are by far the lightest piece of equipment I own and twice as warm as wearing a hat. Honestly your just not doing it right if your not doing it with Smith Optics.

Favorite Smith product: My favorite Smith product is probably the I/OS goggle and Allure helmet combo. Its a magical thing when your goggles and your helmet match up perfectly and the gaper gap is out of the equation. They go together like puzzle pieces and in my mind become one piece of equipment. I also have a small face so the smaller version of the I/O fits my face perfectly and the lens choices are endless. No matter what the light is like I know I will have the perfect lens in my quiver to choose from.

First memory of going big: My First memory of going big was in Sas Fe Switzerland, in middle school, at an intense ski racing training camp. We had been training super G all morning on our freshly waxed skis and I decided to spice things up and take the T-bar up to the top of the park and hit the biggest table at the bottom. Two of my guy friends went first, both speed checking before the jump, both casing the jump, and double ejecting. After watching them I decided I had to go a hell of a lot faster then them if I wanted to stomp it. I ended up tucking the entire park and hitting the biggest table at the end, going way too big, over shooting the landing completely and eating shit in the flats. I skied away with some street credit but let me tell you hitting a massive table on a pair of race waxed super G skis with little to no park sense is a bad idea.

What is the best thing about being a pro skier? The best thing about being a pro skier is traveling to remote parts of the world to ski with amazing people in amazing places.

The Worst?: There isn't really a worst part. Skiing makes me stoked and I love sharing the stoke (period)

In the off season, I like to…I love spending time with my family in the off season Mountain biking and boating on the lakes around Sun Valley.

Misc, shout outs, thanks, rants….I always have to give thanks to my friends and family who support me in everything I do. Along with the Crist brothers. They have taught me everything I know about backcountry skiing and the industry and I wouldn't be where I am today with out their help. And thanks to my Sponsors for making it all possible and keeping the stoke going.

In 15 years I hope to be….Throwing double back flips, and skiing spines in Alaska with my friends.
