KETCHUM, IDAHO (April 15th, 2007) – Delivering a quick dose of summer style, Smith Optics is rolling out the limited edition Bellaire, a cutting edge sunglass meshing a hybrid material frame with a high performance CR39 lens.
Available only for summer 2007, the Bellaire brings far more to the table than your average superstar style. Smith team athletes, Smith specialty retailers and Smith company staff and friends are already demanding their piece.
“Just days into the program, the Bellaire is already one of our hottest frames. It’s a total reflection of our design promise at Smith – solid performance and solid style,” said Eric Carlson, Smith Optics’ VP of Product Development.
The metal frame of the Bellaire is combined with an acetate face front and temple tips. A strikingly subtle design is created with a stylishly rounded rectangular faceplate and the Bellaire rides with ease wherever you’re headed.
The Bellaire features the premium optics of CR-39 lenses, a technical resin that’s compatible with handmade frame materials and offers the advanced optical performance for fashion eyewear.
With a healthy 8-base lens curve, the Bellaire features Smith’s proprietary Tapered Lens Technology™ (TLT™), a precise thinning of the lens from the center to the edges that eliminates any possible optical distortion.
The Bellaire’s lenses also provide 100% protection from harmful UVA, UVB, and UVC rays. And as with all Smith Optics sunglasses, the Bellaire is protected by a lifetime warranty.
The Bellaire comes in Black Gold frames with Gray lenses; or Bronze Tortoise frames with Brown lenses ($99).
