is complete.

Final episode of season 2. Recap of

Local logistics crew Pat Lee, Spencer
Cordovano, Jeremy Black and Yancy
Caldwell keep the PI compound running
smoothly. When they're not fixing
broken cats, filling sleds with fuel
and raking the in-runs they're riding
harder than most the visiting pros.

Snowboarders Josh Dirksen, Mike
Basich, Spencer Cordovano, Pat Lee and
Cory Smith tour into the Williams yurt
to ride some isolated Idaho powder.

A legend rolls through. Bjorn Leines
rolls out form Salt Lake to see for
himself just how much fun is being had
in Idaho. Yurt camping missions and
three feet of fresh add to the fun.

Snowboarders Kimmy Fasani and Iris Laz
find themselves snowed-in up at the
zone with not much hope for sunshine.
Pillow lines and pow laps are on the
menu this week.

Skiers GriffIn Post and Todd Ligare
check out the jumps at the Smith zone
while on their way to total domination
in Alaska. Fellow skier Sage
Cattabriga-alosa talks about his visit
last winter and his Alaskan
adventures.

Tim Humphreys camps out at the zone
for 20 days and builds a reserve of
banner shots. Joined by Shayne
Pospisil, Jeremy Black and Spencer
Cordovano the team sessions the triple
line jump with the min-heli closing
in.

Skier Bobby Brown has redemption on
the zone that ended his season early
last year. The zone receives more snow
than we know what to do with and the
jumps are filling in.

the worlds leading eyewear companies,
combine it with a 900 acre backcountry
training facility, and sprinkle in
some of the worlds best skiers and
snowboarders? Well, Prospecting Idaho
of course! Deep in the wilderness of
Idaho's Sawtooth Range lies Smiley
Creek Lodge, a small wilderness
lodge/restaurant/outfitter. It is here
that Smith has created the ultimate
backyard park. 900 acres of former
mining property make up what can only
be described as every snow slider's
dream come true. The tailing piles
from the mine make perfect landings
for big kickers, kickers built by a
big, bad Prinoth Snowcat. The upper
"cirque" area has cliff drops,
cornices, and windlips. The trees are
thick and deep, and the back side has
a seemingly endless expanse of sunny
pow fields. What more could one ask
for? How about an eight-person cat
waiting at the bottom to zip you right
back up to the top of the
ridge. Introduce a handful of the
worlds best winter athlete's, and the
stage is set for one heck of an

Smith Optics has their own private cat
operation located only 30 minutes from
their corporate office in Sun Valley
Idaho. This 800 acre facility is open
to Smith athletes and employees for
photo shoots and product testing
throughout the winter months. This
past winter Smith brought in Pete
Colombo to build the first private
backcountry park. Smith produced 8 web
videos called "Prospecting Idaho" to
be released in November
