It's nothing out of the ordinary to see the same surfer catching waves at Lowers, Creek and HB pier, but when that surfer is a 15-year-old-girl who surfs better than 95 to 100% of the lineup. When Conlogue surfs, heads turn. Conlogue is part of a new movement in surfing that rivals the innovation and transformation of the sport that we saw during the new school generation berth 15 years ago. Conlogue is en-route to super stardom with pro-junior wins and an integral role on the USA team. It will not take long for the regular footer from Santa Ana to be at the forefront of women’s surfing.
Courtney has just recently won the 2009 US OPEN of Surfing in Huntington Beach. Being in Court's back yard this win was a major success not only for Court but for the HB community. By far the biggest win of her career she has firmly placed her self amongst surfing's elite. As she finishes high school the WCT will be her next task and all we can do is fear for all her competitors.
