Ergonomic Outrigger Positioning System

The re-engineered Ergonomic Outrigger Positioning System featured on the MX Fuel v.2 is strategically positioned on the frame to draw the strap forward and away from the goggle frame to provide a perfect fit in a wide range of helmet face ports. The outriggers evenly distribute pressure on the goggle frame to create a complete seal on the face, keep dirt out, and allow F.A.T. face foams to soak up sweat.

Articulating Outrigger Positioning System

Engineered to adjust to a full range of face shapes and sizes, the Articulating Outrigger Positioning System evenly transfers pressure across the brow and nose to ensure a complete seal around the face. When used with a helmet the outrigger articulates allowing the goggle frame to sink into the helmet face port, ultimately providing a comfortable and consistent fit every time.

Almost 50% more absorbent than most standard foams, our hypoallergenic performance face foams seal out the elements and eliminate annoying sweat splatter. F.A.T. 3-Layer, F.A.T. 2-Layer, and Single-Stage face foams give you the customized fit and versatility you need out on the track.

Base Layer

.125” layer of dense, open cell foam to improve sweat absorption and face seal and reduce sweat release during high-level activity.

Middle Layer

.50” layer of hypoallergenic open cell foam. Excellent sweat wicking and sweat retention

First Layer

.050” layer of soft fleece for extra comfort and sweat wicking.

A silent, 2-speed micro-electronic fan runs continuously for up to fifty hours on a single AAA battery to draw air through strategically placed vents, preventing moisture from setting up shop inside your goggle. The high powered mode can be activated to clear moisture build-up in extreme situations. Sleek, lightweight and hates fog as much as you do.

Traditional goggle venting provides a regulated supply of air through the goggle; when you slow down airflow decreases, increasing the potential for fogging. Smith’s revolutionary Intake fairings allow the user to increase airflow at these slow speeds by opening the fairings and directing air into the chamber of the goggle. On-demand airflow is now at your finger tips.

Out with the wet, in with the dry. Active lens ventilation clears fog by maximizing incoming airflow while allowing hot air and steam to escape.

The pre-emptive strike. Pro-active fog slayer. However you want to say it, AFC stops fog before it starts. Smith’s Fog-X coating creates a hydrophilic surface that permanently bonds to the inside of the lens to absorb moisture before fog can form.

Smith’s unique In-Lens post system offers the best of both worlds. In the standard configuration with posts installed in the lens, Tear Offs can simply be loaded onto the lens without fumbling with cumbersome frame clips. Remove the posts to expose pre-drilled holes that allow Smith’s legendary Roll Offs film advance system to be installed for clear views in any condition.
