Saved My Bacon
"This purchase is to replace the Trace I was wearing when I went over the handlebars a couple of months ago. Impact was hard enough that I fractured my hip. While my head impacted the pavement with considerable force, the concussion I experienced was relatively minor. With a cheap helmet or no helmet at all, serious brain injury would have been a certainty. Along with saving my bacon, I rode 3000+ miles wearing this helmet. Super comfortable, great ventilation, lightweight, easy to adjust; love this helmet."

"Fantastic helmet for mountain biking. Yes, this is not a true MTB helmet (I already own the Smith Forefront 2), but I wanted a helmet without a visor. For me, Smith is the best fit. Highly recommended."

Best helmet ever!
"I really love this helmet -- so much that I bought one in white and one in blue. It has great airflow and a sleek design, and they go great with my new Smith MAG glasses! My only nit here is that the straps below the ears aren't adjustable (I like the edges to be underneath my ears, and they rest on my jawline instead), and that the chin strap looses frequently on rides and requires recinching often."

Great fit - rides light on the noggin
"Bought this helmet for the road - I ride Forefront 2’s and 3’s off road. Great helmet - fits my head shape. Super comfy. My only issue is the new center cut outs in the Koroyd. As a baldy, koroyd mesh gives me good sun protection up top. I have to use sun block where the center holes are. Also seems to act as a funnel in the rain. Furry headed folks won’t notice the holes."

Trace mips
"My last Smith helmet was damaged in a bad crash, the Trace MIPS is lighter and perhaps cooler, here in north Florida the heat and humidity take a toll on a rider, I have found this helmet comfortable on rides, i look forward to many miles of riding with it"

Life saver
"This helmet probably saved my life!I got hit by a distracted driver that passed on the red light. The car hit me on my left side. My head hit the car then the ground! Helmet is dead but I am stepping out of the hospital with no head trauma, just broken bone. Worth every penny!"
