This privacy notice explains how we process your personal data when you visit, browse, or interact with our website.  This policy does not cover third-party websites linked from our Site. We accept no liability for how these external parties collect or use your data. The unauthorised reproduction or use of our content in any way is strictly prohibited without our prior written consent. Copying and/or printing the contents of the Site is permitted exclusively for personal and non-commercial use (for further information please contact us using the details provided below). Any other uses of the content, services and information available on this Site are prohibited.

While we aim to keep all content and information on our Site accurate and up to date, we accept no liability for any errors or omissions.

We may track the time and date of access, as well as which links you click. This is to better understand your interests, improve our content, and ensure the information we send is relevant to you. 5. Methods, retention periods and security measures

Smith (and our appointed third parties) store, manage and transfer your data using automated IT systems. We process your personal data, including activity logs from when you use our website, using specific methods designed to organise and analyse this information for the purposes outlined above. Throughout this process, we ensure your data remains secure and private. Processed data will be retained in accordance with regulations as follows:

       For the purpose referred to in point 4.1): 7 days – navigation data collected for the operation and maintenance of the Site.

       For the purpose referred to in point 4.2): 5 years – deletion of an account created to access the restricted areas of the Site.

       For the purpose referred to in point 4.3): 12 months – contact or information requests.

       For the purpose referred to in point 4.4): 24 months – marketing consent (the period may be extended with renewal of consent).

       For the purpose referred to in point 4.5): 12 months – profiling data (the period may be extended with renewal of consent).

       For the purpose referred to in point 4.6): 5 years – following closure of request, except in case of dispute.

       For the purpose referred to in point 4.7): your data will be retained for the necessary amount of time and will then be anonymised.

Your data is protected by using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption across all areas of the site where personal information is collected. This makes it incomprehensible to unauthorised persons, ensuring confidentiality. Electronic payment transactions are carried out directly by the Payment Service Provider (PSP); Smith only retains the minimum amount of information necessary to manage any disputes.

Our website uses Google reCAPTCHA ("reCAPTCHA"), a service provided by Google used to verify whether data provided in contact forms has been entered by a human or an automated programme. To do this, reCAPTCHA analyses your behaviour based on various factors and information such as IP address, length of time spent on the site and even mouse movement. This analysis starts automatically as soon as you enter the site. reCAPTCHA runs in the background, so you may not be aware of it. Google collects the data directly. We use this technology to protecting our site from unauthorised automated scanning and spam. Specifically, you may withdraw consent to the processing of your data at any time, or request that your information be updated, corrected, anonymised or deleted. You also have the right to limit its use, request data portability where applicable, and object to fully automated decision-making or profiling. Please note that these rights apply insofar as the processing is not otherwise mandated by law.
