I'm in my mid-40s and have never taken sunglasses for sport very seriously. Sure, I'll throw down $300 on a stylish pair to wear out in public, but for whatever reason, I never felt obligated to spend that money for something I would just sweat in. That being said, I recently moved to Utah and the elevation makes the sun super bright. Sunglasses are now a necessity for my hiking, walking, and biking. Decided to give these a try and now I don't know how I lived without them. They are functional, comfortable and look great.

Love love these glasses. Great peripheral coverage and very easy to change lenses.

Lightweight, great optics and excellent eye protection. Vert PivLock have been an excellent pair of shades for my road, gravel and XC MTB riding program. I love how snugly/securely into Smith Trace helmet when not wearing on them on face. The ChromaPop Violet Mirros Lens has been great. Eyes are comfortable on the brightest of days, while they're not too dark for patches of shade.

Great visibility with frameless design, lightweight feel, and easy lens change

I have approximately a 24"/61cm round head and these fit comfortably and snugly for biking or other physical activities. However even though Smith offer larger XL frame sizes in many of their styles and these fit as expected, I feel these could be offered in an even bigger, wider size. These fit very similarly to the Shift XL Mag even though that model is considered an XL frame. They should show a "temple to temple" dimension as lens width doesn't give you the whole picture. I guess what I'd like to see is an XXL of the Leadout Pivlock that is wider in particular, for better coverage. Other than that, I think Smith could offer an even darker lens option to their darkest 10% VLT, like an 8% or even less - I only wear sunglasses when it's really sunny after all and 10% is sometimes not enough.

These are oversized sunglasses with lots of protection although when used with a helmet they do not appear oversized anymore - even if you have small head/face. I've tried a half dozen Smith glasses and on a personal level, the section that sits on the bridge of my nose makes these glasses the most comfortable for me.

The Smith Vert PivLock running sunglasses initially proved to be a fantastic companion during my runs. Their lightweight design, clarity of lenses, and adjustable features made them a go-to choice for outdoor activities, particularly running. The PivLock system allowed quick lens changes, adapting easily to varying light conditions without compromising on comfort or stability. However, despite their impressive performance, my experience was downturned when one of the temple arms unexpectedly came off and got lost. The durability of these sunglasses became a major concern, and unfortunately, the lack of replacement arms from the manufacturer left me in a bind. This incident rendered the sunglasses unusable, and the inability to find replacement parts significantly impacted the overall satisfaction with the product. While the Smith Vert PivLock sunglasses excelled in functionality and performance, the issue with the temple arm's durability and the unavailability of replacement parts raises significant concerns about their long-term reliability and customer support. For runners or outdoor enthusiasts considering these sunglasses, be aware of this potential drawback when purchasing.

These are the best sunglasses I've ever owned. They are the first pair of sunglasses that don't slip slowly down my face. I bought them for inline skating and they never moved. I've been a big fan of Smiths fishing sunglasses for years and have owned many over the years, but the Verts blow any of my Smith fishing sunglasses out of the water.

I love how lightweight these glasses feel - I can wear them all day and barely notice. I've used them for trail running, mountain biking, and road biking, and they perform amazing in all conditions. Easy to swap to clear lenses on the move if you need to.

I tried the VERT glasses for the first time at L’Etape du Tour and I was instantly blown away, I didn’t think it was possible to have a new favourite pair of glasses (my go to being the bobcats) but these tick all the boxes for me, good looks, lightweight and great quality. You almost forget they’re there because they’re so light and you can just focus on doing your thing 😊 I’m looking forward to trying them out running too!
