Vasu Sojitra

Skier

Ask Vasu

How do you describe yourself as an athlete?

I’m a mountain athlete in many facets. Skier first and foremost, runner, biker, and skateboarder. I’m also a professional soccer player for the US Amputee Soccer Team. I like to say I try to give back more to the sports than I take through my advocacy work in making the outdoors more accessible to everyone.

Which part of your personality is most represented by your disciplines?

I’m an incredibly stubborn and persistent person and I think it shows in my skiing, especially my ski mountaineering and touring accomplishments.

What's your go-to coffee shop order? We're here for the extra picky orders…

I’m fairly simple. Love a good cappuccino in the morning and a double shot of espresso in the afternoon.

If you could spend a day with any other Smith athlete, who would it be and why?

I love Brooklyn. She’s like the sister I never had.
