Birk Irving

Freeskiing

This teenage Winter Park, Colorado, native is a freestyle skier through and through—a double threat in both halfpipe and slopestyle, known for massive airs and multiple switch combinations. Birk grew up at the base of Winter Park resort with a ski patroller dad and an alpine coach mom. He first started competing at age seven and went pro in 2013. In 2015 Birk took four wins at the Revolution Tour in Mammoth and Seven Springs.

Birk recently overcame a late season leg injury to put down a gold-medal halfpipe performance at the Youth Olympics in Lillehammer, becoming only the second U.S. men’s freestyle skier to claim a Youth Olympic medal. Birk was nominated as a member of the 2016-17 US Freeskiing Rookie Team.
