Beschreibung

Wenn du jede freie Sekunde am Berg verbringst, ist der Nexus von SMITH der perfekte Helm für dich. Die Hybridschale verbindet geringes Gewicht und flaches Design mit einer widerstandsfähigen Hardshell, die maximalen Schutz bietet. Der Helm ist innen komplett mit dem äußerst atmungsaktiven Koroyd® ausgekleidet, das bei einem Aufprall mehr Energie absorbiert als herkömmliche Schaumstoffkonstruktionen. Mips® bietet zusätzlichen Schutz bei einem Schrägaufprall. Ein fortschrittlicheres Helmmodell wirst du kaum finden. Aber natürlich ist der Nexus nicht nur sicher, sondern auch bequem: Mit dem mikroadjustierbaren BOA® 360 Fit System kannst du ihn präzise an deinen Kopf anpassen. Das schweißableitende und geruchshemmende Innenfutter sorgt für angenehme Temperaturen. Falls es dir doch mal zu warm wird, kannst du die Luftzirkulation vorne und hinten mithilfe der 24 verstellbaren Lüftungsschlitze regulieren.

Dangerous Internal Construction

"This helmet was purchased as a gift. Due to errors in the sizing chart, a L was ordered and had to be tightened so much that the internal construction rubbed and cut above both ears. This was only noticed when preparing to ski, and when attempting to exchange it, Smith (or realistically the virtual assistant) showed no flexibility. It was a Christmas gift and just now had the opportunity to try it on. So disappointing, will purchase from a different company going forward."

Dual vent sliders are a design flaw in the cold

"I purchased the Nexus because of its superb venting features, but after using it in cold (non-venting weather) conditions I discovered that when both vent sliders are in the forward position there is an uncovered opening at the back end of the forward slider that acts as a permanently open vent. I was not wearing anything under the helmet (just hair) and noticed that the upper part of my head was cold and experiencing a breeze. I'm very surprised that Smith's top of the line/most expensive helmet has this design flaw. I know the permanently open vent at the top of my head won't be a huge deal on many warmer days, but on cold days it's very disappointing. A well vented helmet made for skiing should perform equally well in the warm as well as the cold."
