How would you describe yourself as an athlete?
I am in the competitive world for personal bests. I love the sense of progression and pushing myself to do hard things. For me, the bike is an outlet for expression, and a playground of creative freedom. I continue to explore how I can draw from other sports and life experiences to approach bike racing in a different way.
If you could spend a day with any other Smith athlete, who would it be and why?
Probably Hannah Bergmann or Molly Picklum. These two women are pushing the boundaries of female sport. And a part of me wishes I could be a non-endurance athlete - hit cool jumps and get barreled all day long ;) !
What is something you want to accomplish that you haven’t yet?
There are many things! I am at an exciting point in my career, where everything still feels so new. I want to keep exploring different disciplines, take my bike on epic adventures, and continue to feel inspired. I like to build out more of process oriented goals vs. outcomes and achievements, with the goal of continuing to strive for excellence and have fun on two wheels.
