Im digging both of these shades. Love the block out features. They well made, and the lenses are sharpe.

Been really nice, can’t wait to use them in the arctic.

These have been crushing it on the Deschutes this summer steelhead season. The ChromaPop Polorized Glass bronze lense have made it easy to spot fish and hazards.

Great fit and color. Lenses clear. Side flaps do make your face warm in the summer but help to relax your eyes. Will buy again for sure. Like the shape too which is different from what I usually wear.

Great sunglasses, they keep the debris out of my eyes on fires. My only small complaint is the strap should be able to tighten more. When I’m wearing my hard had for work it’s great, but would like it to have more flexibility for wearing without protective gear.

Great sunglasses, just don’t like how you’re able to fully see through the lenses sometimes because I like my eyes completely hidden at all times. Got the glacier blue lenses

Very comfortable, the shields on the side come in very handy. I work as a fisheries biologist and the shields make it easier to see into the water and stop glare. The polarization is phenomenal the glass is so clear.

The green polarized lens makes every little detail POP and when you are surveying for desert Tortoise, every leg up is appreciated. Combined with the peripheral eye guards to keep the wind/dust out of your eyes, you have the perfect field shades.

Really solid. I previously had julbo glasses and they never fit right and had gaps on the sides, plus they weren't dark enough for me. I got this pair earlier this year and I've used it climbing and skiing quite a bit since then - they're the best. Eventually I'm sure I'll accidentally drop them off a cliff or something and I'll definitely replace them with this exact model again. Great fit, and it's dark enough for my light/sensitive eyes. The only negative is that the nose piece did fall off quite quickly for me and I lost it, but it's fine.

Love the lenses, and the style but the flatter, wide frame allows an unacceptable amount of rear/side reflection for my face, which is not unusually thin. Maybe I need higher cheekbones, or maybe my face is more pale than others and causes more reflections on the inside lenses, but I can't get used to it and it's more than a distraction. The side shields help but don't fit tight enough to block completely, and pulling the strap super tight helps too, but isn't comfortable. I'm just too used to wearing the more curved wrap-around styles for decades - like the Parallel series, or even going back to the Toasts! Still giving 5 stars, since they are really good, but a warning to those who have smaller faces who are looking for real glacier glasses that block all side and back light. I've owned old school Bolle Glaciers with fuller side shields that block all peripheral light, these don't. Not sure if I should have bought the Embarks instead, that look a bit more curved.

The lenses are sharp and the frames fit well. The side shields are handy on brighter days and ease your eyes just a little bit more

These are great lenses. Honestly I haven't had a good pair of sunnies for a long time and it feels amazing. I can see very well in most light conditions, as it claims. It's also really cool that you can put or take off the sides. The only downside is that sometimes they’re quite hard to click back into place (I smash mi fingers trying to make it click again). Not easy for me to just change that on the go.

Had to get a new nose piece replacement, called them and were super helpful. ended up sending me a new nose piece and new side pieces for free! so easy and helpful.

Absolutely sick. Great features. I use mine pretty casual but then went snowboarding and adding in the sides and caps was like wearing goggles.

Great sunglasses; however, I lost the removable nose piece and the customer service at Smith was not very helpful in directing me on where I could buy a replacement nose piece.

These glasses are great for a lot of uses. I’ve used them on bike rides and fly fishing they are crystal clear and very comfortable.

Absolutely love these shades. I use them daily for , boating , fly fishing, scouting visability for Spearfishing , and paragliding. .

Great glasses. The only thing I don’t like is that the l lenses are extremely fragile. I have only ever used the provided smith bag to clean them and the inner lenses seem to get micro scratches from the bag.

These sunglasses are clear and crisp to look through. The side shields are great for me in the alpine, snow and rock. I just finished guiding for 7 days in variable weather and the photo-chromatic lenses were clutch. I do wish that they had a frame in more shades than black- it would make the low light rose tint less jarring. I personally don't find these cute (as a woman) but I got a lot of compliments from guys about the glasses. They wanted them :). Another thing worth noting. I'm 5'ft small framed and they stay on my face- no shifting when looking down and also no pressure points. A very nice feature.

GOOD FIT AND LOOK SMART

The Ventures are a cool pair of sunglasses. I got the matte black with photochromic blue lenses. I liked them, but the lenses were more rose-colored than blue. It doesn’t really appear like it does in the pictures. I also tried out the green with black lenses and I thought those were pretty cool, they were just a little too big for my face. They do run larger than is advertised on the website.

I never write reviews ever, but these sunglasses are absolutely amazing in many respects. I searched / tried for month to find a fitting pair (very small nose bridge needed, super sensitive behind ears once you put on a buff/ beanie/ cap) cat 3/4 for high altitude trekking. The lenses, weight and fit are the best I ever had, and the strap is handy with high winds. Awesome product.

I bought these for casual wear and opted for the full transition lens. The difference between dark and light is great transitions. I get compliments on the styles often.

The lenses on these ones are insane in every condition….not too dark or light. And the customization is easy and solid. Besides the lenses the easy-clip non-nerdy keeper strap has saved these from the lake & river many times already. Thanks Smith!

Was pleasantly surprised, had not had Smith Optics in some time .. saw the ventures and took a shot .. They are now in my repertoire…

In July 2024, I used my Ventures for a very sunny week on the glacier at Mount Baker in Washington State, USA. In short, despite my concerns about my eyes being sensitive to bright light, especially sunlight on snow, the Ventures worked perfectly from sun up to sun down. I was initially concerned about how light the lenses seemed, but they adapted to the ambient light perfectly, and both protected my eyes from the punishing sun, and remained light enough to see the terrain, my gear, hazards, etc. Highest personal recommendation.
