Rad

"These are better at least to me than most the reviews I read. They aren’t too loud and have great sound all while I can still hear around me. The buttons are super easy to use and they fit super well in my Smith Scout Helmet. I have a medium helmet and the cord from speaker to speaker is pretty long but overlaps easily and tucks in well. I have an iPhone and Siri is super easy to use. I haven’t taken any calls yet cuz I’m to focused on shredding."

Clunky

"The speaker sound pretty good, and seem to work well, but they're kind of clunky and uncomfortable in the pockets of the Smith helmet."

Haven C. (2/5)

Awesome - Sound quality is as expected

"These are great for what they are. The sound good and clear, missing some bass response but remember, these are not in-ear headphones and not "audiophile" grade - but they do not pretend to be. If you want crazy quality hi-fi audio - look for a good pair of in-ear headphones. If you want decent helmet audio that won't fall out and keep you with some situational awareness these are a great option. They get plenty loud!"

Don’t work. Need to replace

"These don’t charge. The company says it’s a battery issue but they won’t replace they said I had to contact Smith"

Steven W. (1/5)

"Thanks so much for the changes…. . so much easier to use, charge, insert in ear pad and sync. Keep up the great work love the war candy!"

Okay Headphone set. Not worth the price.

"Not worth the price for these. The sound quality pales in comparison to the OutdoorTech Chips and the inner/outer button system is clunky and annoying for a button you’re pressing under your helmet pad. The rubberized texture makes it more difficult to get the pucks into the helmet as well. Get the ODT Chips for less money and you’ll be stocked you did!"

Adrian S. (3/5)

Not bad, not great

"Long battery life, pairs with android phone no problem, phone calls are perfect, but sound quality is about the level of AM radio. No spund equalizer on app at this level."

USB-C Charge Port is Finally on the Left Ear Peice

"FINALLY dev team listened! After years of Smith X (Aleck/OutdoorTech) headphones they finally put the charge port on the left ear, now you only have to partially unzip that PITA helmet pad zipper to charge your headphones. The previous design was so poorly placed you couldn't even leave a short cable connected to mitigate the issue. All better now A+ This is my second pair of Nunchucks. Apart from the charge port being on the right ear, they're great, zero sound issues, occasional bluetooth sync/connect but no more than any other BT device I have had. See images new v. old"

Poor iPhone integration -- Fails at hands-free

"Barely passable integration with an iPhone. In general, the device can't make calls or read text messages if your iPhone is locked, which it always will be if the iPhone is in your pocket because, HELLO, you are skiing! Complete failure as a hands-free device. You can workaround the call limitation by enabling and invoking Siri to make calls, but not to read messages. So when your ski buddy texts you, you have no choice but to stop and pull the phone out (in the snow storm) to read the message. Why do I have this device again? Oh, i guess its ok for playing music. But most headphones CAN integrate with the iPhone to read messages, so its a significant drawback to the Smith product."

"They’re amazing and the sound quality and how they operate are outstanding. Thank you!"
