I/O MAG

Hopefully this lens equals or surpasses the now retired Mag Photochomic version (which I was extremely happy with) . Will submit a valid review when we start riding chairs again here in California, hopefully very soon. Keep up the great work Smith Optics !

Love this goggle. It comes with the bright light (bluebird days) as well as low light lens (use during night skiing). I also purchased a “medium” light transmission lens for overcast days. It is so easy to swap lenses. The fit and field of view are great as well.

They look good but squish my nose and cheeks a bit. I should have opted for the i/ox. Easy lens swap out. The style and fit is noticably different (smaller) than the previous iteration of the io non-mag.

Stoked to try these in the coming season, I appreciate that they come with both a lens cover and a storage bag the extra lends and when the goggles are not in use!

I have the I/O mag xl for OTG and the RX insert. Howey, I kept getting snow in them from around my nose. My face is not an xl. Picked these up to wear whith contacts. Fit is perfect and I haven't had any snow or fog in them. Also I chose the same ChromoPop as my smith sunglasses as I love how they transition and work very well in sun and clouds cover.

When there's something i like and that works well for me? I stick with it thoroughly. I've been riding Smith goggles since winter season of '98 - '99 and never once waivered to try another brand... it's always been Smith. Bluebird days, night riding, through white out conditions & coaching at different mountains around the world, Smith has been one of the few tried & true brands I've been using time and again. I now ride The I/O & Scout helmet (on days when it's deep or dumping the helmet lip keeps snow from getting in above the frame and collecting, then melting into the inside of the lens), 4D Mag & Code helmet on bluebird days or night riding. And of course various lenses for both goggles. Smith for life.

I’ve had these for about a year now and I haven’t had any fogging up which is good due to their new ventilation system. The lenses are the main reason i bought these. They’re incredibly easy to switch out and are very durable. I haven’t had a single problem with them yet. I can clearly see the patterns in the snow too, if I couldn’t then I would have sent them back. They’re worth the price if you’re still thinking about buying them.

I got these to replace my old pair of IO's that the foam had worn out on, these are even better

They feel great on the face and fit well with Vantage helmet. I have a small face and was worried that I should have gone with the womens fit, but they are great as the strap easily adjusts to helmet or hat.

Great goggles!

I've had a few pairs of these goggles and really love them despite having some stickiness happening on the side band. The fit is great, the style is perfect, and the lenses are superb. Overall, I keep buying them because the quality is reasonable for the price.

Ahlam was helpful with replacing my goggles which were falling apart. We have had many Smith products over the years including helmets and goggles. Great stuff and really happy the company stands by their products. Will be buying more in the future.

The IO mag goggle fits very well with my size small Smith Code helmet. The lens is very easy to change. The clarity is great.

After 2 seasons of use (about 130 days), the tab holding the lens in place broke. Smith replaced the goggle immediately. This kind of customer service is unusual in the industry (I had just the opposite experience with Oakley and will never buy from them again) and in my opinion, should be rewarded. So I'm now a very loyal Smith customer and am happy to talk them up on the chairlift. The lens are great. I wish the low light lens worked better in very flat light but this has been the holy grail of goggle manufacturers for 5 decades. Personally, I think a bit more yellow tint in the lens would help. But this is a small complaint. Great fitting goggle with great optics and fantastic customer service!

Perfect clarity, zero issues with fogging, perfect fit with my oakley helmet. Great in cloudy conditions as well as full sun.

These things are sweet. I love smith goggles.

Great goggles

I have had my I/O for 10 years now, so it was a no-brainer to choose the I/O Mag. It is totally as epxected, 10/10!

These goggles fit the bill! The fit is comfortable, and the shape works well, even with my non-Smith helmet. The strap is adequately adjustable and the clip is holding. Only seems to fog a bit when moving outside on really cold days.

Improved field of vision and clarity compared to my old goggles. Comfortable and the selection of colors allowed me to match my helmet.

I bought i/o ski goggles with broadest light spectrum which worked perfectly for dreary nw day and bluebird at mt bachelor.
