Fits better than any other helmet I’ve owned. Great air flow

My last Smith helmet was damaged in a bad crash, the Trace MIPS is lighter and perhaps cooler, here in north Florida the heat and humidity take a toll on a rider, I have found this helmet comfortable on rides, i look forward to many miles of riding with it

Bought this helmet for the road - I ride Forefront 2’s and 3’s off road. Great helmet - fits my head shape. Super comfy. My only issue is the new center cut outs in the Koroyd. As a baldy, koroyd mesh gives me good sun protection up top. I have to use sun block where the center holes are. Also seems to act as a funnel in the rain. Furry headed folks won’t notice the holes.

Its a great looking helmet, very comfortable, but ventilation and air flow aren't there, also impossible to scratch an itch on your head

I recently had to replace my helmet with another Trace Mips helmet. The first one saved my life when I got hit by a truck. I highly recommend this helmet.

I’ve had the Trace helmet for years. And now I got the same model again.

I really love this helmet -- so much that I bought one in white and one in blue. It has great airflow and a sleek design, and they go great with my new Smith MAG glasses! My only nit here is that the straps below the ears aren't adjustable (I like the edges to be underneath my ears, and they rest on my jawline instead), and that the chin strap looses frequently on rides and requires recinching often.

Great helmet. Breathes well. Stylish. You should measure your head and use the sizing chart. I was right on the line, I could have fit a medium but went large.

Much more breathable than all other helmets I've used, including Giro, Bontrager, Lazer, Specialized. Fantastic fit for oval shaped beads as opposed to round. Great sunglass storages slots, and comfy fit system. This fit as well as a $400 Giro I tried on.

This helmet probably saved my life!I got hit by a distracted driver that passed on the red light. The car hit me on my left side. My head hit the car then the ground! Helmet is dead but I am stepping out of the hospital with no head trauma, just broken bone. Worth every penny!

This helmet fits great, feels so light like I’m not even wearing it. Airflow is really good and keeps me cool. Use for road and gravel. I wear a medium in Smith in helmets and other bike helmets so this fits perfectly as the others.

I decided after reading all the favorable reviews of the helmet to spend the money and invest in it. I must say that I was thoroughly impressed with the quality and especially the design and lightweight of the helmet. On my first ride with it, it fit perfectly, and I barely knew it was on my head, and it did keep me cool unlike many other helmets I've owned in the past. I highly recommend it and if you're considering it, don't think twice about the price and just buy it, as what you buy a helmet for in the first place to protect is PRICELESS!

Bought for use on MTB. The look and feel of this helmet is great. I am still wondering about the airflow during summer with all the Koroyd honeycomb stuff but so far so good. Also, the chin strap has loosened during a ride, might be user error?

The Trace is so light and form-fitting. I have been using it for mountain biking. It's awesome! Highly recommend!

I have to say, when I first got the helmet, I was concerned about airflow and whether the helmet would be too warm. Nope. The airflow was better than my old (not a Smith) helmet with open vents (i. e. no Koroyd). The fit for my head is excellent with only a gentle tighten of the VaporFit dial, the helmet was snug, yet comfortable. Very happy with this helmet and would recommend.

I thought I was buying the black helmet but got the blue one. Helmet is great, I needed it for my rides so I kept it. I just wish it was the black one.

Always been a fan of their style and comfort. The honeycomb is the best too for breathability.

The Trace helmet is lightweight, comfortable, looks cool and breathes well. The no fuss straps fit nicely around your ears and I love the simplicity of the one chin strap. The best part to me is how snug my Vert PivLock glasses fit into the front vent holes, when I flip them over and wear them there.

when you don’t notice a helmet, that’s when you know it’s good. Straps and tightening mechanism are so comfy and the shape is flattering. A great helmet.

I have the the Smith Trace helmet and it saved my life on a very musty crash at 25 mph

Longtime user of the S-Works line of helmets but took the leap into Smith as I have loved their glasses. Great replacement for S-Works Prevail or any other high level cycling helmets. Love the subtle colours but able to find something to match the race kit.

Very comfortable fit. It does not have a magnetic buckle. But still a great product
