Reviews

Not worth the hype

"Splurged after using $50 goggles most of my life. The quality control is not good. Goggles arrived with scratched plastic on the nose. The foam is aligned asymmetric on the inside bottom. The top of the goggles legs began chipping after one day of light skiing. My cheap goggles hold up better than these."

"One of the best goggles I’ve ever used."

Absolutely Brilliant

"I'm a 63 years old passionate skier, I've never been able to ski in low light / foggy conditions due to my lack of contrast eye condition until last week when i bought these googles, i skied all week under snowy, low light and foggy conditions as if its was a sunny day vision conditions, had the best ski week of my life thanks to these googles, i bought a second pair as a spare in case i damage mine on a ski trip and cant find a replacement, lens change is a peace of cake, i've never written a review before but had to share my experience this time, well done Smith, you've put Oakley Prizim to shame."

Awesome field of vision, ventilation and fit

"These are a game changer. Fantastic optics in any conditions with the included low-light lens. Field of vision is excellent and ventilation (no fogging) is superior to other brands I’ve used. I have these paired with the Smith Vantage 2 helmet and it’s a very comfortable combination. I’m extremely satisfied."

Almost great

"been rocking Smith goggles for longer than I would like to admit, but 30+ years. I really wanted to like these and on non powder days they are great. Problem is for me that the lower part of the lenses fogs on snowy days when snow collects in my facial hair. the downturned lens that makes these "4D" is the issue as I had a couple pairs of just the I/Os for years and never had this issue. this is now my 3rd season with them and they have become my non-storm skiing goggles only. I really wish they were better but poor engineering on these as every time i get any snow in facial hair the curved lens section fogs."

Good product - poor customer service

"Really like these goggles. They are expensive but I think the quality is pretty good, they fit nicely, the lens change out easily, and I liked that they come with a hard case. That being said, the customer service I received was poor and I personally would reconsider buying from Smith online. To make a long story short, they error’d and sent me the wrong package and I had to chase them to fix. At this point they have sent most of what I ordered but I’m still missing an item after 6 weeks. They don’t respond to their email and the one time someone has responded by email, they miss things. Otherwise, the product is good - if you choose to go with SMITH I would just buy in store."

Goggles good, customer service lacking

"To be honest, not sure on the goggles yet - they seem great but unfortunately, have not had a chance to test them on the hill. The bigger issue is the lack of customer service around an order issue that I have tried to contac Smith on 3 to 4 times now and heard nothing back. Not acceptable. Hope I never have a product problem!!! And now, I get an email to give a product review when you have not dealt with my problem!!! Not good guys! So I ordered goggles and helmet, and a pop up came up about getting a free Smith baseball cap with any order over XX $'s (which my order was). Had troubles moving forward withouth just agreeing to the hat (even though not really my style). I was working in a challenging spot without great cell service, and finished my order. But, when I checked it right after (like 2 minutes!) I realized that Smith had in fact only given me 50% off the hat, so paid $28. 00 for a hat I don't really want. I tried to contact Smith immediately - nothing back, then again a few more times over the next couple of days using their chat, and the method on my invoice, with order #'s, and you know what. . . nothing, ghosts! Had hoped to get in touch before the order shipped, but nope. So it arrived, and tried to contact again, nothing!!! Really want my money back, and some consideration for the time I had to spend on this. $28, really, who cares. . . but so much more than that to be not gotten back to at all. Leaves me with no confidence in Smith as a company at this point."
