SMITH Sliders | The Return of an Icon

When you think of SMITH Sunglasses, a few models might come immediately to mind. The Wildcat, Guide’s Choice, but one style changed the game, and now we’re bringing it back. They came off the line in ’95, loud and unapologetic. Decades later, they're back with a stance just as disruptive as the day they first hit the scene.
When the technology for the Sliders was patented in the 90s, they brought a new idea to the sunglasses arena. A flexible frame that allows you to slide lenses in and out, but still holds the lenses securely in place during use. The result was Sliders, a pair of sunglasses that came with three lens options, tripling how and when you can use them.

The Sliders quickly became a favorite of guides, climbers, bikers, and anyone who spent time outside thanks to their sleek design, wrapped silhouette, and interchangeable lenses. The technology behind the Sliders also became a blueprint for future innovation. Frames with interchangeable lenses like Pivlock, MAG all owe a nod to the Sliders. More than a piece of gear, it was a proof of concept.

Now the Sliders are back. Updated with ChromaPop™ lenses that enhance contrast and natural color, and Evolve™ bio-based frames that are lightweight and durable. Yesterday’s rebel is tomorrow’s classic.
