Description

Ready, set, send. The Smith Forefront 2 mountain bike helmet has your back (and front, and sides) thanks to Mips® and complete KOROYD® impact protection. Designed to work with goggles or sunglasses, the helmet vents warm air, eliminating foggy lenses so you'll feel confident even if your line of sight is less than ideal. And when your palms start to sweat right before you drop in, you'll stay cool thanks to a full 20 vents that keep the air flowing. The visor adjusts for easy goggle storage between laps, and you can slide your glasses for secure storage on the front or back.

Twiceme Technology is a digital safety technology integrated into the equipment that enables alerting, location sharing, and instant access to critical information for bystanders in emergency situations with a tap of a phone. Looks great, perfect fit, great integrated features with other Smith products. Most importantly, this helmet is functional where it matters. It saved me from a head on impact with a rock. Cracked the helmet but I walked away with nothing but a mild concussion and a few scrapes and bruises. That helmet is now framed and I've immediately replaced it with the same model.

Smith Forefront 2 MTB helmet. Most comfortable helmet I ever wore. It showed its real value however when it mattered most. I had a heavy fall and hit a sealed surface with my head on the rear left. The blow was severe. Yet I walked away with a few scratches, a sore body and a mild concussion. The helmet truly prevented more serious injuries or worse. I certainly will replace it with nothing else but the same model Smith helmet. I am 69 years old and I am greatful for the protection the helmet provided.

The fit is extremely comfortable for my head. I’ve been using the forefront 2 as my go to helmet for at least the past 5 years and I’d say my only feedback is that it does feel a bit warmer than some other helmets. My guess is the Koroyd tubes prevent some of the air flow from flowing as freely. The pros though, is that they act as a bug protector and do their job and protect the dome by deforming on impact. It fits really comfortably and my favorite feature is the sunglass holder. It shipped and delivered extremely fast. I would love a bit less packaging in the shipment if it was possible.

Bought a helmet and used it on my first ride. I hit a tree with the top of my head & felt the helmet crush. What a weird sensation, that I hope not to feel again, but now with the knowledge of how good these helmets are, I feel safe.

The Helmet fits right per my Head Measurements but it feels a bit heavy after a long ride and when the head swells it becomes a bit painful. The adjustment it’s easy to be made on the back of the helmet but then It feels loose. It’s only been two rides wearing it so only time will tell if the helmet is right for me.

Fit is great, better than the older version., and acutally fits my massive head. (The new MIPS ski helmets tdo not.) Very happy and highly reccomended. I got this one after I dented my old one from a total yard sale on the down slope of decent sized table top. I was jacked up, but my head was fine. Easy to buy another Smith. Great company and service.

I have always been impressed with Smith products and the Forefront 2 is no exception. I can wear either the medium or large and both fit well. I went with the large so.i can adjust for a thin hat on cold days. The helmet integrates perfectly with a pair of Wildcat shades, no sun peaking over the top.of my sunglasses.

I had a big crash on the White Rim trail that broke my collarbone and dented my helmet, left me with a knot above my left eye as well. My helmet was on tight and kept me from what could have been a terrible head injury. I will replace with same helmet when I can ride again. The ability to lock this helmet tight on my head was key. The ER doc was impressed!

Fell right between small and medium size. Went with small and it fits great. Only one problem with the helmet, the chinstrap adjustment is too short. Have it set at it’s loosest and it is just long enough but it would be nice to have a little adjustment left.

Great fit. Strap retention could be better, I always seem to have to adjust the excess adjusting bit of strap. Would be cool if the headlight/Go-pro mount wasn't discontinued or out of stock.

The Forefront 2 Mips is a wonderful helmet that fits my head perfectly, has great ventilation, and protects my balding head from injury. I have owned several of these helmets and this one is replacing an older version that needs retiring. Love the Smith brand, their service is top notch, and have never bought anything that I did not like and appreciate.
