Well made, very protective - both Sun and impact. For my face: Sits on my cheeks and not my nose. Nose is not big enough. Its tuff buying sun glasses on the internet. Go and try them on. . .

Adam C

Love the mellow style and sturdy construction. Exceptional optics.

Police Officer everyday use. They are approved for the range and they are super light in the face. Wear them every day.

These sunglasses seem to be just what I was looking for. They are very clear even in shady areas. The only issue is not a problem but really a suggestion. There could be better labeling on the sunglasses themselves. The impact resistance was labeled but the polarization and scratch resistance were not. Maybe this keeps the costs reasonable? Also, the print on the enclosed paper work was too small. This is nothing really as I am really happy with the sunglasses so far.

I have the grey/polarized version. They are great sunglasses!! However, I have two comments: First: The side-arms can fold in a way that over time causes the tip of one of the arms to erode a spot on the inside of one of the lenses. I eventually had to replace the lenses. Second: I recently got a new car (Hyundai) that has a driver watching camera and a heads up display. As expected, the heads-up display does not work well with polarized sunglasses. On the other hand, my Smith glasses (I have several pairs) were one of the few that allowed the driver-watching camera to detect that the driver is present and paying attention.

These glasses are so stylish that TSA stole my first pair out of my carryon bag.

Large frames. If you have high cheekbones, you’ll feel them against your skin. Measurement description is misleading

I love the glasses overall. . . There's just two issues that make it fall slightly short of perfect. One is that the temple and frames are rather big (and placement is suboptimal) - meaning that I have a small, but constant blind spot to the left and right of me. Some 5% of my vision is blocked which isn't the worst thing in the world. . . Just turn your head an extra 10 degrees when changing lanes on the freeway. For law enforcement and military, however, this may be something to put in the definite 'con' pile. The next thing is likely just a "me thing" because I've got puffy cheeks. Sweat slightly collects in the bottom of the frame where it's in contact with my face. It feels like they don't vent warm air well, but after 30min. , you barely notice it. I wish I could give these glasses 4. 75 out of 5. 0 because the clarity and color are phenomenal. Everything else is stellar. They're sturdy - appear bombproof. Stylish. I can even see at dark indoor ranges very well while still having awesome sun-blocking abilities at noon. The eyes aren't really visible from the outside perspective. The lenses themselves are 6. 0/5. 0. The frames are so big and the temples flare out so much, they likely won't fit in your car's sjnglasses holder. . . Unless it's XXL.

I really like how light these glasses are in weight. I use them for work where I'm required to wear safety glasses and also for riding my motorcycle as I don't wear sunglasses with glass lenses while riding for obvious reasons and these fit the bill. I haven't used them for shooting yet but I'm sure they will be great.

My Oprators Chouce Elite are amazing. The optics a very clear and the fit is very comfortable.

Mick

I bought these for use while riding my motorcycle and work. They are light weight and smaller than I thought but I really need the protection of these really nice lenses. I will eventually go to the Guides Choice XL but those that I like have glass lenses so they are a no go for the motorcycle. I have had Maui Jim, Kaenon, Ray Ban and numerous other brands and I will most likely stick with Smith for a long time.

Pretty good sunglasses. I expected them to have a lanyard like my glass-lens guide's choice sunglasses but I was disappointed to find these don't. I bought these specifically for shooting competitions. These are fine for running-around a course shooting a pistol but when you lay-down prone to shoot a scoped rifle and you're looking through these glasses at an oblique angle the glasses cause some weird optical effects. It's kind of annoying I have super nice scopes then these glasses make the image look like distorted. That may be an unavoidable side effect of the protection these glasses offer though.

LOVE these sunglasses. And the company is GREAT ! Always puts the customer first!! Will be buying more.

Been a Smith fan for a long time, keep up the innovation. Thanks for a great durable product.

Stephane D

Very clear and love the contrast in colors!

Matt R

So far, so good. Fit my face well, don’t allow much light in front from above. Look forward to putting them to work wildland firefighting

I bought these safety glasses for myself and my employees. In the construction industry, eye injuries are a fairly common occurrence, often because cheap safety glasses don't look good and/or are uncomfortable to wear. The Operators Choice Elite are both comfortable to wear, and look good so my guys actually wear them.

Tim S

I like these better than the guide choice. They are lighter and don’t have spring hinges so they feel much more secure. Will definitely buy again!!

Peter V

Great fit, comfortable and don’t fall off Excellent field of view

Seth

Great glass so far, comfortable, durable, just what I’ve come to expect from Smith.

stuart s

Excellent product! Awesome quality

Eric S

Great fit. Solid selection. Built to last. Very comfortable.

David M

The git was perfect for me. The coverage over my eyes as the frame hugs the side if my face keeps the glare out of my eyes.

David L

This is my second pair of these glasses, I unfortunately misplaced my first pair. I love the fit and the added safety they provide

Jeremy H

Really like these sunglasses, not just during operations but anytime I’m outside. They’re lightweight, fit the face well and they’re good looking sunglasses. The only thing I can’t review is how the lenses hold up to shrapnel.

Hunter C

So far I love these sunglasses. My company bought these me bc they are ANSI 87.1 rated and I am thrilled with them. Light, durable etc...

Bob G

Very happy with these. They fit my face very well and don't slide around. I chose these specifically because I shoot and wanted something that works at the range and everything in between. My previous pair of Smith sunglasses are 10 years old and are still used for work. I keep my sunglasses for a long time and expect them to hold up. The one time I had to use Smith's warranty was seamless and quick. Definitely my preferred brand.

Zachary E

Love them. Smith us a great company with great products. The operators choice is a solid pair that fits well and has good coverage. I gave 4 stars because they do pinch my nose after a couple hours. I had Smith Forge before these which were great and I didn't even notice I was wearing them after hours of use. They were smaller though so maybe that had something to do with it. I would like to have a softer nose piece on the operators

Josh

After a brief scuffle with a spider while mowing the lawn, I accidentally ran these over with the zero turn lawnmower. Not a scratch on the lenses or the frame, but the impact caused one lense to delaminate. I love these glasses and will only buy them from now on.
