Designed for those who embrace speed, the Smith Payroll mountain bike helmet offers complete coverage for enduro, trail and E-MTB use. The lightweight design is E-bike certified, which tests helmets at higher speeds than traditional bike helmet certifications. Zonal KOROYD® and Mips® impact technology mean that you can focus on the trail. Our VaporFit™ system lets you adjust the helmet on the fly, and the Mips® layer is integrated with the fit system for a snug, cohesive fit that feels great all day. Generous vents with internal air channels keep you cool while climbing and focused on the descent with fog-free lenses. The three-position visor accommodates sunglasses or goggles between laps or when the sun finally drops below the horizon.

Twiceme Technology is a digital safety technology integrated into the equipment that enables alerting, location sharing, and instant access to critical information for bystanders in emergency situations with a tap of a phone. I absolutely love my new helmet. Great for enduro and cross country trail rides. Offers full protection and security but not too bulky or heavy. Right amount of coverage without being a full face for downhill park days. The topo design is also pretty sick.

Awesome helmet ,super comfy the padding inside feels great on your head. The large feels good for dudes with big heads. I normally need an xl but the large is perfect. Also has plenty of ventilation to keep you cool. I feel safe wearing it

Bought this early in the season because of the safety ratings. Took a bad fall and actually cracked the helmet. Felt like it did a very good job protecting me head. Would love to see this added to the Virgina Tech helmet testing list to see how it compares. Fit is really good and I honestly don’t mind it being slightly bigger than other helmets. Not super noticeable when riding and it looks good. Bought my wife one too!

MIPs, some more noggin protection tech not found in lots of other helmets. Great fit adjustments, venting, visor, looks good. The best, most comfy helmet I've ever worn. Kinda forgot I was wearing it on a two hour ride today.

The payroll is made up of quality components. Very light on head. Fit is excellent. Ventilation is superb as well. I’d stick with Smith if you’re trying to make up your mind.

Got the new Payroll and so far it has met my expectations of quality, fit and ventilation. I will say the one drawback is that it doesn't hold my sunglasses as well as I had hoped.

Payroll is a solid helmet - it fits great and feels comfortable. I think it looks bigger on and less exited about it overall aesthetic compare to other Smith helmets.

With this being an E-MTB rated helmet, I was worried this helmet might be overly heavy and hot. I was very wrong. The helmet is very comfortable, the vents work great to funnel air over my head. I haven't noticed any hot spots in regards to discomfort. Just feels like a nice hug on my head.

Love the helmet it’s very comfortable and has a e-bike rating. Just wish the visit went down further. I suspect they didn’t make a new visor for the helmet and that’s why. Just a little goofy but still safer.

I really like my Smith Payroll helmet, between the comfort, excellent coverage and light weight. I have peace of mind it will keep my head protected, which is why I don’t mind the high price tag. I have a ponytail and the rear support/adjustment system accommodates without any discomfort. The trail camp color looks sweet too!

Pleased with this new design. The helmets Mips basket has thoughtful venting and the helmet overall is super stable and comfortable. I’ve had the Forefront and still have the Session as well. Still love the Session for XC/gravel rides, but with our hot weather here in Austin, TX I think the Payroll will be my go-to instead of the Forefront.

Smith helmets fit me the best, so I opted for their latest MTB-oriented offering. The fit is excellent and the helmet does not feel too large on my head like many mips helmets seem to do. The eyewear provisions are going to take a little bit to get used to for me, but it works well and holds mine out of view easily under the three position visor. I got the Aleck version for the color way mainly, but the crash sensor is a nice bonus. However, I cannot get the thing to connect to my Pixel 7 pro / the android app. Not an issue with Smith though.

Love it! Fits my head shape better than my previous forefront, a bit wider around the sides. Less koroid on top maybe breathes better but higher risk of bees getting in. MIPS internal is nice and discrete. The sun glasses slot seems to work better then the forefront also.
