This is my second pair or these frames and I went with the photochromic progressive lenses on this pair great to take the initial blinding sun, but not dark enough to wear as sunglasses. They do get totally clear and darken up quickly. Wish I could could get polarized chroma pop lenses with these."

Design changed

"Bought these to replace an earlier pair that I loved due to a deep lens scratch (dog knocked them off my head) and while the newer version is fine, disappointed in the changes: - color is darker, more bronze than gold - frame is thinner, feels flimsy and is more flexible. Just feels cheaper. - plastic lenses; the previous ones appear to be glass. - prominent “made in China” logo that is not on the earlier pair. As I said, they are fine. It is just that they do not exude the quality feel of the earlier version that set Smith apart from other brands."
