Great glasses!!

there

These glasses have great frame material and VERY large lenses, which make them great for progressive-focus lenses. Smith, unfortunately, negated one of my prescription lens focus specifications, but they gave me a credit (not as much as the glasses) and I had a local optometrist install lenses with the correct focus.

Bought the progressive prescription version of the sunglasses. I can clearly as the prescription is spot on. Nice and light and makes colors pop. Absolutely no eye strain when wearing these to drive. Also cuts down on the glare on the water when fishing

As the title states, this is my fourth pair of the Barra, but finally made the leap to Rx. I can’t think of a way to make them any better. I decided to also add progressive lenses to make them unbeatable. They are amazing. I am ski patroller in the winter, and a fishing guide on Lake Ontario in the summer, so perfect eyewear is a must. I can say these fit the bill. I have the matte tortoise with the blue mirror lens and they are perfect for the conditions I am in on daily basis. The progressive lens is mapped perfectly to my eyes and provide very clear vision to be expected. They shipped super fast and we’re made perfectly.

I purchased the RX version. If I didn't make these prescription these would be go to sunglasses for any condition thus far, it's not winter so I don't know how they will perform at high altitude sun. The lenses are big which is great as there is plenty of field of vision, however that means there is a lot more curvature to the lens that my eyes will have to look through, this will depend of course on the specific prescription of course, the curve angle happens fast from the center so I have only a very limited space of 'useable' vision on the lens where images are clear which means I can only look directly dead center into the lens. If I bend my head down and look straight ahead my field of vision blurs. Same if I look to far to the right or left or down. This is way different than my regular every day prescription glasses where I can look at any angle and I can see crystal clear. This may cause a problem in mountain biking as I am looking down a lot. I would say use caution if purchasing the RX version.
