Riptide RX

At 44 years old I finally had to get glasses. I’ve always worn sunnies but never prescription lenses. I went to a few online retailers and bought two that did not fit or feel good on my ears or head. Finally out two and two together and realized my riptide sunnies fit great and I could get them as regular prescription lenses. Bingo bango I have lenses that fit great and don’t slide off my nose.

I took a chance and ordered these without being able to try them on, and am happy I did. They look good (even on me), are comfortable to wear for hours at a time / most of the day straight, and stick to my face extremely well. I have only had them for a few weeks but as of now, would recommend without any reservations. Chromapop on the transitionals isn't as great as on the sunglasses though .

Great although I'm getting use to the rubber insert for the nose bridge. It kind of tugs at your skin (although probably keeps them more secure).

This is my first time ordering with Smith and I am very happy with my RX purchase. The quality of the lens is very nice and I really enjoy the Chromapop/Polarization. It won’t be my last time ordering!

I have had several pairs of smith prescription glasses and they never disappoint.

I have been a longtime supporter of Smith. I carried them in my Surf shop for over 20+years. Closed my shop in 2019. Still buying them at retail(no more bro deals). The Riptide is the best fitting frame to date. Prior to this, it was the Oulier XL. I was worried I would never find something similar. Fit is better with the Riptide, just not as much coverage as the Outlier XL lenses. Very stoked with these frames. Will buy again with my rx in a sunglasses blue mirror lense🤙

Smith glasses are by far the most comfortable and highest quality of many brands I have tried. The cost of the Smith RX sunglasses is very competitive with other brands sold at optometrists and the Smith fit and quality is far superior.

The Riptide RX fit great and are super comfortable. I have only had them for a few weeks but time will tell how they hold up. Overall i am very pleased with my purchase.

great glasses, unfortunately the Rx made me dizzy for some reason and I had to return them. Otherwise fantastic product.

I was having trouble with my eyes after watching a phone, iPad, or MacBook for extended periods of time. These glasses are amazing and I keep them on for so long I forget that I have them on. I ordered other glasses from Amazon and other designer brands for a different look to change my appearance. The SMITH brand has help me with my eyes so much, thank you for providing a great experience for me and I will purchase sunglasses in the near future. From one Smith to another THANK YOU and keep up the good work. I forgot to say I first experienced this brand for firearms training and I enjoyed that also.

I spend my life outdoors. The Riptide for me is the perfect all around pair of sunglasses. I use them: on the MTB, fishing, coaching skiing in the spring, hiking, and on days off. Fit, coverage, and lense clarity and tints are perfect. I wore Costa, Oakley and Maui Jim for years switched to Smith a few years back and didn’t look back.

Fit great; can use on the bike when the sun is down. Light weight, nice curvature of lenses.

Very happy with the purchase. The mirroring of the lenses were lighter than expected as depicted on the website, otherwise very happy customer.
