Thes frames wrap the face perfectly and sit very snug on the nose. They are not going anywhere once they're on your face.

Been a fan of Scott glasses for years as a fly fishing guide. Getting older eyes are starting to get weak. Purchased these glasses in prescription lenses and absolutely excellent. I can see bonefish clearly over 100 feet away. Great glasses

EXCEPTIONAL. Allow me to elaborate… I have a narrow face, which means my prescription can't fit in a lot of "wrappy" Base 8 curve lenses. At first I was disappointed, as I wanted to get my progressive prescription in the ARVO frames, which fit my face perfectly. That said, these EMBARK base 6 curvature lenses are fantastic! The frames fit my head, and have a cool "almost retro" look to them. I dig it. Three other things I love about them: 1) The temple arms are bendable and stay where you put em, allowing you to micro-adjust the fit easily (I've got one ear lower than the other--no prob). 2) The removable side shields are GREAT. My prescription and pupil distance forced me to go with the "less wrappy" base 6 curve lens, which often leaves the sides open to glare when on the water fly fishing or backpacking above tree line. Removable side shields=problem solved! (The side shields can be locked in place, but that will prevent you from being able to fold the temple arms closed. Again, no problem, no headache, well designed!—the side shields work just as well when *not* locked in place and “free to swing,” which is how I wear them. This way the side shields just fold nicely as you fold the temple arms—never contacting the lenses, perfecto. ) 3) The included retainer (strap around your head) means if I go in the drink when fishing or scampering, these $475 sunglasses won't be lost. And if I'm just bopping around town, I can easily remove both the side shields and retainer for a more "city" look. Ok, but what about the optical quality and the progressive formula? HECK YES. Whatever their ChromaPop tech is, it’s great. I went with the polarized green mirror lens, which is a brown base and is about a Cat 3 (so not as dark as my previous Cat 4 sunglasses, which in shade were actually *too* dark). Optical quality is exceptional, and the contrast of the image is amazing. AND, I love the way they’ve configured their Progressive formula. For active wear sunglasses, we don’t need a huge “intermediate” segment, as you would if you were working at a desk or computer all day. We need to be able to see far across most of the lens, and then have a closeup/reading/fly tying portion that’s out of the way, but there when we need it. This formula knocks it out of the park. (For example, as compared with the formula used by Costco, which features a very large intermediate segment, rendering the middle portion of the lens disorienting and useless. ) What haven’t I said? Oh, and their return policy is amazing. I was able to order 4 different standard sunglasses frames to try on at home (no local store had any stock), make a decision, return them all and then order the EMBARK as prescription. No questions asked. Can’t recommend Smith for prescription sunglasses highly enough. Ps. My second choice, the other frame I really liked, but didn’t dig the style quite as much, was the SEEKER. So check that one out as well if you’re looking. It was very comfortable.

Perfect fit, sturdy frame and I'm blown away by ChromaPop. The boost in colour saturation is incredible and immediately noticeable. Comes with a great case and bag for safe storage. Can't give 5 stars as the right lens was not installed correctly. It needed popping into place and floats in the frame. The left lens is held tightly. There is also a noticeable shoulder around the edge of the prescription lenses which was not mentioned on the website. I realise the RX lenses are probably thicker but I assume the shoulder is machined in to provide a consistent mating surface and should be held tightly in the frame.

Love the glasses. My prescription is right on the glasses are crystal clear. The google inspired strap is nothing to get excite about it is too short and is a real pain to use. The leash that is used on the guides choice is awesome. But the strap that come with the Embark went right into the trash after wearing it for a couple days. It might be okay on the slopes or riding a bike but for everyday use it is just too cumbersome to take on and off a lot. Love the glasses hate the strap.

I love the glasses. Perfect fit super comfortable. The prescription is Clear and the ChromaPop Polarized Gray Green lenses are awesome. Cuts the glare and makes the color POP! The only issue and it is not with the glasses. Is the goggle style band that goes with the glasses?? Not sure what they were thinking, very uncomfortable and hard getting on and off especially if you wear a hat or beanie? Would make more sense to have the same type of leash that the guides choices comes with. I tossed the band in the trash and bought a different strap.
