Description

Keepin' it simple, so you can keep on doing what you do. That's what the Smith Spindle does best. The bio-based frame front has a classic rectangular shape with a 4-base lens curvature that accepts a wide range of prescriptions. Metal temples with spring hinges add durability and comfort that let you do your thing without having to think about your glasses.

"Ordered prescription glasses, after they were shipped I got an email saying they made a mistake on the lenses and would send me a return label and discount. That was 3 weeks ago. Asked for an update and got a “we’re busy” reply. Glasses arrived and I essentially got a display set with no RX lenses. Waiting for something…"

Not as expected

"Due to other frames being out of stock for months I went for these. Purchased these based on the sizing listed on the website. The nose bridge on the website listed 14 mm and the glasses received are 17mm. A little disappointed as the fit is not as expected and I am unable to replace. Not the quality I was expecting and the arms may not last long. Still love smith I have many pairs of sunglasses I have used over the years. This was not a great experience with prescription glasses."

"For an active person, these are much better than what I could find at the eyeglass store. The transition lenses seem to work well but still look like transition lenses. The fit is good overall but the nose starts to slip when sweaty."

"This is my second pair of Smith prescription glasses and I must say I’m very pleased with the quality and durability. This pair however seem to fit a little on the small side, not terrible but could definitely be a little wider. Overall great glasses. They stay put while I’m on my mountain bike and don’t fog up, which is super important."

Nose bridge width

"The website states the Spindle RX has a 14 mm nose bridge width. This is incorrect. The bridge width is 17”. I have a low bridge and based my decision off the 14 mm bridge measurement annotated on the website. I have nose slip."

Great Frames, Dodgy Lenses

"I really like the frame. It fits well, stylish, affordable. But the lenses that came with the glasses are bad. It's like looking through a fishbowl and they give me a headache. Not sure how to remedy this besides buying something else, but it's something that has become unusable due to the lens issue I'm having. Maybe might get fitted with lenses at an eye doc's office, I don't know."
